Why Emotion in Motion Was Created

We live in an era where emotional fragility, anxiety, and a sense of isolation among adolescents (aged 13–17) are constantly rising.
Emotion in Motion was created with a clear mission: to offer young people innovative tools and alternative languages to explore, understand, and manage their inner world.

The project rejects purely theoretical approaches, favoring an experiential and multimodal method. Through cinema, photography, music, and dance movement therapy, young people find safe channels of expression to give voice to what words alone cannot express.

Our Objectives

The project pursues precise educational and social goals aimed at creating a lasting impact in schools and partner communities:

Develop Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Help students enhance their self-awareness and ability to decode their own emotions and those of others.

Prevent Distress and Isolation

Create shared spaces for group dialogue to combat psychological distress and foster social inclusion.

Support Teachers and Educators

Provide innovative methodologies, practical mini-guides, and hands-on tools to use directly in the classroom or during workshops.

Project Overview & Work Packages

The project aims to develop emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and psychological well-being among adolescents (aged 13–17) through the languages of art, photography, cinema, and dance therapy.

To ensure structured, high-quality, and measurable results, the project is organized into five core Work Packages (WPs):

WP1 – Project Management

Focuses on the overall coordination, administrative management, and financial monitoring of the project—including budget allocation and the management of pre-financing funds. It oversees staff timesheets, organizes Transnational Partner Meetings (TPM), and ensures smooth communication across all partner organizations using official European platforms.

WP2 – Development of Materials and Digital Platform

The creative and methodological core of the project comes to life within WP2, the phase dedicated to designing and developing the educational contents and digital tools that will guide the entire journey.

WP3 – Pilot Project, Implementation and Monitoring

The practical implementation phase on the field. It involves running experiential workshops in presence—utilizing photography, film, and dance therapy—with teenagers across the partner countries (Italy, Romania, and Poland), accompanied by continuous activity monitoring.

WP4 – Data Collection and Analysis

Managed primarily to measure the overall impact of the project. This work package oversees the administration of pre- and post-activity questionnaires (designed to evaluate emotional intelligence and psychological well-being) as well as subsequent follow-up assessments.

WP5 – Diffusion and Sustainability

Spanning the entire 36-month duration of the project, this WP handles all communication, dissemination, and visibility activities. It manages the official website and social channels (Instagram and Facebook), publishes institutional press releases, and coordinates local Multiplier Events to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.
